HTC Desire For Telus With Sony LCD Display, Not AMOLED

| July 16, 2010 | Comments (1)

Telus has announced it will soon be offering HTC’s Desire Android smartphone – but with one big change.  It will have a Sony LCD, not a Samsung AMOLED display. This is due to the shortage of AMOLED displays that have caused delays for other devices like HTC’s DROID Incredible.

The HTC Desire runs Android 2.1, and has a 3.7-inch 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen display, as well as a 5 megapixel camera. Telus did not say when it would offer the phone or for how much it would sell the Desire.
