Original Droid and Incredible to see super update to Froyo by early August
You know that OTA update that the Droid Incredible is going to get shortly? Earlier we covered how you can get the boot animation now and also that it would probably include Froyo goodness. It seems that Verizon has confirmed the Froyo OTA and even given us a time-frame. As you can see from the screen capture, it seems that Verizon Tech Support’s account on Twitter claimed that Incredible users should be getting the OTA by the end of July or beginning of August.
When asked about the original Droid, they responded that it should be the same time-frame as with the Incredible, but beginning of August seems more likely. Sounds exciting and juicy.
It remains to be seen whether this OTA will break the one-click rooting of the Incredible brought to you by unrevoked. Of course though, if you root it, you can install a Froyo custom ROM.
