Motorola Android 2.1 and 2.2 Upgrade News

Do you have a Motorola device and you are waiting on an updgrade? Sometimes this can be an excruciating wait. You see your friends using the latest technology and your stuck on Android 1.6 or you have a device on 2.1 and you see all the benefits of 2.2. Most of the time you hear rumors on when upgrades happen, but never anything from the manufacturers and you play a guessing game. Motorola posted all the information you need on their website:

Thank you for being a Motorola customer. We have heard the overwhelming feedback asking for details on Android software upgrades for various Motorola devices. We hope you will find the below timeline helpful.

We know you value having the latest and greatest technology on your devices. We are working very closely with Google and our carrier partners to bring you the most optimized experience on each of our smartphones powered by Android; this means appropriately releasing both operating system upgrades and software maintenance updates which enhance device functionality. We will continue to update the information below, regarding the timing and availability of software upgrades, and will provide additional details as we have them to share. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

This page details plans for Android software upgrades only; other various routine updates will be delivered to optimize device experiences and these will be communicated separately when deployed.

    What a crock, under evaluation. The unit is still sold and it's sister CDMA units got 2.2. What does Motorola have to evaluate for the Milestone?!

    stuck on Android 1.6 !!! I am sorry but i have a stupid Cliq XT and i only go as fas as ANDROID 1.5 so does cliq , BACKFLIP , DEXT ,DEVOUR users … i already sellin my phone and i wont buy a thing from MOTOROLA ever again !!
