Here Comes the Android Sony Internet TV

Sony presented today their Sony Internet TV – the world’s first Google TV. Sony is one of the first partners of Google for this project, along with Intel, Logitech and DISH Network.

The Sony Internet TV presented at IFA in Berlin, is going to have a 1.2 Ghz Intel Atom CE4100, which I believe was a mistake for Google to accept it. I believe a dual core Cortex A9 would’ve been as good of a choice in terms of performance, if not better, and it would’ve also been cheaper.

This TV is going to cost between $2000-3000 and I’m sure Intel’s chips get a fair share of that, considering the Logitech’s set top box Revue is going to be $300 – which is 3 times more than Apple’s TV.
