Can’t Ping Me I’m The Gingerbread Man!

| October 29, 2010 | Comments (1)

With the arrival of the Gingerbread man on the lawn of desserts at the Googleplex, we knew Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) was on its way.  Here is one more bit of confirmation.  Today Android 2.3 started pinging websites.  What does that mean, well it means that Google is in the testing phases with real live devices.  We have gotten a few details on the newest version of Android, and it looks pretty awesome.

Even more intriguing is that Android 3.0.1 (Honeycomb) was also spotted pinging websites today. This is even more exciting.  There are rumors that Honeycomb will follow very close to the release of Gingerbread.  I have a feeling that Google has something BIG up their sleeves. With tablets, new, bigger and faster phones, and the impending Nexus 2 anything is possible. Can’t wait to find out what Google is cooking up for us now.  But all this talk of snacks, I got the munchies, guess we will wait and see.
