Root Google TV, Get $1000
Developers and hackers, start your engines, the race is on. MagicAndroidApps has offered a thousand dollar bounty to the first person to successfully root Google TV. The root must be done via software hacking and must give the Google TV box the ability to download and use third party apps before Google releases the Android Market for the devices.
Who wouldn’t want a completely unlocked Google TV box? Playing your favorite Android games on your 42 inch flat screen would be awesome. Hopefully some resourceful, genius developer will claim this $1000 prize soon. Maybe someday we will even see this coveted symbol on our Google TV.
