From China, New SE Android Device… Successor to X-10 Mini Pro?

| December 30, 2010 | Comments (1)

China seems to be the place for all the new sizzling hot devices to appear! This time it’s Sony Ericsson’s turn to release a new handset, which is believed to be the successor to the sweet X10 Mini Pro slider, but with an X8 display size. Although not a large device, it packs quite a punch from the inside!

Under the hood is a 1 GHz chip with an Adreno 205 GPU, which results in an impressive 1,553 on the Quadrant benchmark app (nearing the Nexus S score), and 42.5 fps on Neocore. This snappy device sounds like a must have! One noticeable difference is the buttons are in reverse order from the current Xperia design.

Will this be released in the U.S.? We’ll have to wait for Sony Ericsson to enlighten us.

42.5 FPS is not much for a newer phone. I just tested my X10 Mini Pro and had over 46 FPS.
