Playstation Phone Shows Off in Video Again

| December 6, 2010 | Comments (0)

The Playstation Phone makes another appearance on video, and this time it is in complete clarity.

As you can tell from the video below, it is in fact running Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and it has the slide-out game controls.  The codename used by Sony Ericsson is Zeus, and the phone is rumored to have a 1 GHz processor, a display between 3.7 and 4.1 inches, 512MB RAM, and an included 8 GB microSD Card.

While the details themselves are kind of sparse on how gaming will work on the Playstation Phone, according to the second video it looks like there is going to be the rumored built-in Playstation Market. One of the many unknowns about the device is how Sony Ericsson is going to package the games and if developers are going to have to reformat their current games in the Android Market to work on the Zeus.

Even though there are many uncertainties, Sony Ericsson needs this phone to be a hit. They are struggling in the Android arena after the below-expected sales of their Xperia line of Android devices.

It is expected that Sony Ericsson will unveil the device itself at CES this year. Check out the videos and gallery below.
