Twitter asks Touiteur to change name; Cast your Vote for the new one
Twitter might be the most popular forum for social media, opening up easy blogging to the masses, where news and info spread like a virus infected computer. Of course we all know there are plenty of Twitter clients out there as well, with Touiteur being one of the most popular. While the client has been around for a while, it seems that Twitter is just now realizing that the name Touiteur(pronounced with a French accent) is a little to familiar to their own.
They have officially asked the client to change their name, saying “Touiteur can be seen as a misspelling of Twitter”. To stay in the good graces of Twitter, LevelUp Studio, the company behind the client, has agreed to the request and is asking its users for ideas. You can vote for your favorite new name on LevelUp’s official voting page. There isn’t a time frame for voting, but LevelUp will let everyone know the final outcome.
