Need a Speedy Browser? Try Newest Firefox Beta 5

| February 28, 2011 | Comments (3)

Websites not loading fast enough on your Android device using the stock browser? Well, try the new Firefox 4 Beta 5. With the release of each new Beta, the file size seems to decrease while the speed of the browser itself skyrockets. This is by far the fastest browser your device has ever seen.

Benchmarks have shown that the new Beta 5 from Firefox is faster in all categories, including startup time, page load time, etc. If you don’t believe me, check out Mark Finkle’s Weblog. It shows all the benchmarking and testing that has been done on the new browser.

Earlier beta releases of this application have been a little disappointing, but the latest release will definitely leave you with a good taste in your mouth.

It's still dog-slow to start up, 10 seconds or more.

    • I agree the start up is crazy slow, really their is no reason for this maybe by beta version 9 they will have this fixed?…lol….

Startups slow, but does it run as fast as it reports? The one thing I always liked about Firefox was its functions and speed. But Chrome has been where it's at for me for some time now. How do you like it compared to Opera?
