Samsung Galaxy Player Pre-Release Dates Leaked

| February 1, 2011 | Comments (8)

It seems that finally the Samsung Galaxy Player received a pre-order date set for February 4, 2011. The Android-powered device, which is a direct competitor of Apple’s iPod Touch, is based on Samsung’s popular Galaxy S line of phones and shares many of the same features:

  • 4-inch Super LCD screen
  • 1 GHz CPU
  • 3.2 megapixel camera
  • Front Facing Video camera
  • T-DMB
  • GPS
  • HD video playback
  • Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • microSD card slot
  • 1200 mAh battery.

This pre-release date applies to South Korea (at the moment) and we are hoping that it will later be revealed a pre-release date for the rest of the world. The device has always been thought to be one of Samsung’s main devices-to-be-unvelied-officialy at the next MWC along with the next generation of Samsung Galaxy S phones and the second-gen Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Does anyone think these will sell? I like the one device in my pocket myself

  2. Well a competitor to the ipod is always a good idea considering they have such a large marketshare and android gaining popularity all over the place they have a good chance at getting in o9n the portable music device.I for one just load up my phone with music now….

If they want to give the iPod a run for the money, or the market share, then Google had better get that music player out now. The reason the iPod sells is because you don't need a PhD to operate it.

Well… I'm waiting for that updated music app from Google… it that does come out soon, I'm not sure if I'd want this (being that we both have high end Android phones).
