Sony Ericsson Developer Program Boss Favors Rooting

| February 28, 2011 | Comments (2)

Seems like an oxymoron to have manufacturers working with hackers, but that’s what Simon A. Walker is probably trying to avoid by announcing it’d only be a possibility, “if we do it right.” Clearly the key to smartphone success is applications, and thankfully Sony Ericson sees that early enough.  So they’re trying to bring developers on board as they start to expand their smartphone line. There has long been an argument over whether developers favored Apple over Android but this could shift the scales in favor of Android.
