Time For A Change – Android-ify Yourself and Create Your own Android Robot
Cash in on the current Android excitement WAVE with Androidify – a way to make a pretend picture of yourself that looks a bit like the Android mascot. It’s a Google-made app, too. You’d think they’d have better things to do.
This is how far Android has come. From nerd phone to mainstream avatar source in the space of two years.
Call it an avatar, droidatar, avadroid, Dii (instead of Mii) or whatever you want. Pretty cool. Not exactly useful, but pretty cool. Here is what Google had to say about it on the YouTube description:
Install it yourself via the Android Market, should you have need for a pretend picture of yourself. It requires Android 2.1 or higher, which is a bit silly. Maybe make a sad robot to represent those stuck on 1.5 and 1.6.

this is purely ridiculous. and awesome. i've used it at least 5 times in the past like 5 hours.
i'm hoping they add more clothing options in future updates.
This is a fun way to waste time, but I don’t know if I want to use my Android image on comments yet. Maybe. Perhaps I should give myself magenta hair because they don’t offer dark red.
I also want some different clothing choices. Maybe the clothing should have a color palette so they can offer more of them and let us choose which of 15 colors to wear.
I totally used this first night it was out and made characters for everyone who calls me! Everyone has gone android….ha,ha…Love this App and so does the wife!
