Dell Streak 7 WiFi Only, Available For Pre-Order
Amazon has officially outed the WiFi only version of the Dell Streak 7.
While not even officially announced by Dell yet, the tablet has been priced at $379.99 making it $70 cheaper than the 4G version on T-Mobile’s network.
Tempting?
Does the price and 7in form factor mean your prepared to overlook the lack of Honeycomb and access to those tablet optimized apps? The Dell Streak 7 received mixed reviews and with the flurry of Honeycomb tablets on their way, as well as HTC’s flyer tablet also on its way is it to little to late for it to be considered in the market?
Specs
Here’s the specs if you are considering whether to buy one or not: 1 GHz Nvidia processor, Android 2.2 with Dell Stage UI, 7″ WVGA (800 x 480) Touchscreen with Gorilla glass, 16 GB Internal Memory with expandable memory via MicroSD slot upto 32 GB (48 GB in total), 1.3 mp front view camera for video chat, 5 mp rear view camera for still shots and video, Flash 10.1, WiFi b/g/n + Bluetooth, on-board GPS and a 2780 mAh battery.

Thanks Dell but I think i'm going to pass. Back when I was considering diving into the tablet pool, the streak 7 was at the top of my list by default just because T-Mobile happen to be my carrier. But after reading some of the specs and doing some comparisons the deal breaker for me was the 800×480 resolution, that just to low for my tastes.
I think im going to wait for the lg slate and in the meantime i'm using my modded Nook Color as a bargain tablet.
well I don't know… the Dell Streak 7 is equipped similarly to the Samsung Tab, but is a whole lot cheaper. From that perspective, it's more appealing.
I agree with @Oz though, the 800×480 resolution isn't a big draw. I mean, my iPhone has a higher res! Having used an iPad for 8 months, I think 1024×768 is the minimum resolution that's acceptable for a tablet. 1280×800 like on the Xoom would be even better.
