Launch Date and Full Price Details for LG Optimus Pad heading to Rogers
This one has been rumored for a few weeks now and we’ve covered those rumors here as well as here. Today, the Canadian focused blog mobilesyrup.com has managed to get their hands on the product launch flyer for the .
It will go on sale on May 17th and the price will range from $449 on a three-year contract all the way up to $699 full retail. I’m not sure what Rogers data plans or caps look like, but I’d rather pay full freight than be tied to a three-year contract on this device.
The LG Optimus Pad is a very nicely spec’d Honeycomb tablet. From our first report:
- OS: Google Android 3.0 (Honeycomb)
- Display: 8.9 inch touch-screen 3D-capable 1280 x 768
- CPU: 1 GHz + (Dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 Processor)
- Memory, internal, 32 GB
- Front-facing camera
- Thin, probably an inch in width or less
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G support

- Battery 6,400 mAh

Skimming through the article, I saw $449 and thought that it was a fair price, especially since it's 3G capable. Then I noticed it was the 3 year contract price…
I will only ever buy a tablet without a contract, unless prices and data caps change dramatically at some point.
