Samsung announce Gingerbread update for the Galaxy family
Samsung have announced that they will be giving the owners of the Galaxy S, Galaxy Gio,Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Mini an update to the latest Android OS for phones, Gingerbread. The news comes on the day that other devices are expecting to see the Gingerbread update, the HTC Desire HD and Incredible S.
The Samsung Galaxy S users here in the UK will see the update first via Kies. The update will then start to roll out across the Europe and North America and Asia. The update is expected around the middle of May, that is now so it may just be worth starting up Kies just to see if it hasn’t already landed.

As I read some where else, Its nice to see the consumer get their moneys worth. We buy these devices having faith in the company to back their products up, and updates are part of the purchase. The future will make this very apparent for these companies who don't value their customers.
I've got hands on Gingerbread on my Incredible S since may 04th. Actually the update don't bring such great all-new Sense that everyone could see on the press-release of Sensation.
