Sprint’s HTC EVO Shift 4G receives update
Sprint has announced that the HTC EVO Shift 4G will be receiving a software update. The update, version 2.77.651.3 brings a security update, an updated peep client (to align with Twitter), and improves battery life. Although no specific information on the security update was revealed, one can only assume that it is to remove the Carrier IQ software that is currently installed on the phone.
Users can manually update their phone starting today or wait for the for the OTA update to be pushed out to their phone starting on 2/7.
