So you remember that Samsung Chromebook Google introduced to us last week? Yeah the $249 one. Well it’s now available for purchase through the Google Play Store, in addition to your neighborhood Bestbuy and a few other stores. Now before we move on it’s important that we inform you that it will not run Android or Android apps, it runs Chrome OS. You know someone is going to complain about it not running Android. As a refresher here are the specs of the Chromebook:

    • 11.6″ display (1366 x 768) HD display
    • 2 GB DDR3 RAM
    • 16GB SSD plus 100GB of Google Drive free for 2 years
    • Exynos 5250 Processor
    • Wifi version: $249 3G Version: $329

We are also getting reports that this Chromebook isn’t available in all countries right now. We’re hoping Google is going to make it available in those countries as soon as possible, especially if they want to go “all-in” on the Chrome OS.

Anyone planning on picking up this $250 laptop? Let us know in the comments.
