Ingress Invite Giveaway [Updated with Winners]

    Here we are, it’s a new year and Ingress is still closed beta. Not surprising, but many people have lost interest in the game. But there are still many people waiting for an invite. And we’ve just gotten another handful of invites to giveaway to our readers. And for those of you that may think we don’t have invites, check out the screenshot below, that is an invite from Niantic labs, with the code blacked out.

    Ingress is a new, highly-addicted game. In fact I spent a good 4 hours last night wondering around downtown Detroit with 4 other people taking out the Enlightened’s portals. It was pretty fun, and very cold. Ingress is an augmented reality game that also uses GPS. Now if you have a Droid Razr Maxx HD or a Note 2, you’ll have plenty of fun with this game since it uses a ton of battery.

    The rules of this contest are simple. And there are many ways to enter, and you can keep getting new entries every day by sharing this on Twitter, Google+, Facebook and elsewhere. The contest will end this Wednesday, January 9th at 11pm EST. Here are the ways to enter:

        I’ve uninsalled and reclaimed the useless space this game was taking up on my phone on January 1st along with hundreds of others. My friends and I won’t be begging for an invite this year and there are countless others deciding that this closed Beta is a joke.

        I’m posting here because I still follow Android Headlines and saw the article. There’s much better things to do with your time then beg for an invite via all these social media sites (Do you know how pathetic that seems to everyone on your lists?) then waste gas money in today’s economy and drive around town to go play pretend. Please!

        I bet there are a group of game developers watching and learning from Niantic Labs mistakes. The next wave of games will be much better than this trivial nonsense called Ingress. Then everyone can realize the time they wasted hoping and believing they’ll get one of those so-called coveted invites. Reminds me of the Golden WONKA ticket fiasco!
        I’m off to live in the real world, enjoy make believe boys-and-girls. ;-)
