Android How To: Check For An Update For your Android Phone

Another important feature for your new Android phone or tablet is being able to check for updates. Say you heard that Android 4.2 – Jelly Bean is now available for your phone or tablet, how are you going to check for the update? Well that’s what we are here to show you today.

1. Go into Settings

2. Scroll down to “About Phone” or “About Tablet” and tap on that

3. Tap on “System Update”

4. Tap on “Check for Update”

If you do have an update, it’ll begin downloading the update and once it’s down downloading it’ll notify you so you can install it. Install should only take a few minutes.
