Well here’s another M7 rumor to bring in the weekend. Our favorite Twitter leaker, @evleaks, who has leaked information about other HTC devices and has a pretty good track record, is claiming that HTC’s M7 will come to the market as the “HTC One”. Not One X II, or One Y, or One Z, but just the HTC One.

The M7 codename started leaking out late last year, and we thought all along that it was a codename and not the actual name of the device. We’ve seen so many rumors for this device, over the past couple of months. HTC is supposedly going to announce it at their own event in London and New York City on February 19th, which you can tune into your favorite Android news site, Android Headlines, for complete coverage.  Last year at Mobile World Congress, when HTC announced the One Series (One X, One S, and One V) they stated that everything would be branded HTC One. But that didn’t happen. Also don’t forget that HTC’s CEO Peter Chou was caught shouting “HTC One” right after “M7″ at a recent HTC company party in December.

Like we’ve said @evleaks has a pretty good track record with HTC leaks. But that’s all we know for now. This is still a rumor, so we do urge you to tak this with a grain of salt as always. I’m sure there will be more leaks coming out between now and February 19th. Like we always do, Android Headlines will have your back and provide you with all the details from HTC’s announcement. We’re still expecting the specs to be identical to the HTC Droid DNA/Butterfly/J Butterfly, but with a4.7-inch display rather than a 5-inch display.

So we’ve got about 11 days left until we see the HTC M7, well HTC One, announced in New York City and London. Is anyone getting excited about this device? Let us know in the comments below.

I've been a huge fan of Android since the OG Motorola Droid hit back in 2009 on Verizon, since then I have gone on to own some of the best devices we've seen including the HTC EVO 4G, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7, Nexus 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S3. I also have a passion for writing about anything having to do with Android.

Excited but waiting to see what happens. Everday keep hearing negative news about HTC. I sincerely hope they manage to change their ways and become like again.

They have an interesting range of devices with only the unchangeable battery as a problem. Plus in my country, the HTC range is pretty famous among the youth. So definitely excited!
