Anyone looking for a reason to pick up the LG Optimus G from Sprint? Well here’s a reason. Right now, Sprint is offering the LG Optimus G for $199 on a 2-year contract, but if you buy one, you can get a second one free. Now how great of a deal is that? Of course, it’s really only a good deal if you’re looking to add a line, or upgrade a couple of lines on your account. The Sprint LG Optimus G has a few different specs from the AT&T version. Here’s what the Sprint variant is packing:

    • 4.7-inch 1280×768 resolution display
    • Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, clocked at 1.5GHz
    • 13MP rear-facing camera; 1.3MP front-facing camera
    • 2GB of RAM
    • 32GB of storage
    • 2100mAh battery
    • 4G LTE connectivity (available in select markets)
    • NFC, yes Google Wallet works out-of-the-box
    • Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich

As you can see, the LG Optimus G is very similar to the Nexus 4, apart from the Android version that it’s running and the 13MP camera on the back. The Nexus 4 was actually made from the Optimus G. Also the Optimus G does have Cyanogenmod support, so you can grab a Optimus G from Sprint, root it and flash some stock Android on that device.

So if you’re looking to get a nice, high-end Android device from Sprint, the Optimus G is a pretty good one. With it being on a BOGO (Buy One Get One free) sale right now, what better time than to pick one up? You can grab one for you and your significant other for Valentines’ day. It’s a great device, even though it is running Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.1 is reportedly on its way. So the update is probably sitting with Sprint right now being “tested” before it goes out to their customers. We should see the update very soon. The Korean Optimus G already has it.

Who’s going to head out and grab one of these Optimus G’s from Sprint? If you do, let us know in the comments below how you like or dislike the device.
