DreamWorks and Rovio Mobile Bringing ‘The Croods’ to Android

    The-Croods

It looks like Rovio Mobile has been hard at work bringing a new title to both iOS and Android. This time it’s not another Angry Birds game. We have enough of those already, right? This time the game is based on DreamWorks new movie called “The Croods”. The movie is about a caveman family in the stone age. This seems to be a popular film for animated movies lately. Ice Age anyone? Rovio actually teases the game in a short ‘Official Game’ trailer, but shows no actual game play footage.

At the end of the trailer, you’ll see a small glimmer of simulated gaming on two devices before the caveman smashes them to bits. Hopefully they were iPhones that got smashed, then we might watch the trailer over and over again. Based on the trailer, it looks like it’ll be along the same lines as Ice Age Village. Rovio States:

The Croods will Hunt & Gather their way through spectacular new landscapes as they tame fantastic and never-seen-before creatures. Help The Croods survive the wild…and each other!

This should be an interesting game to play, and it looks like it’ll be released on March 14th on both iOS and Android. But the launch date may get overshadowed by another event happening that  day. Samsung is planning to announce and unveil their Galaxy S4 on March 14th in New York City. There’s another trailer down below that you can check out as well.

Have you played any of Rovio’s other games? Like Angry Birds, Bad Piggies or Amazing Alex? Of course I particularly like Amazing Alex, but I might be a bit biased there. Rovio Mobile does seem to make some pretty good games, and they are always mega popular. In fact Angry Birds Space hit 50 million downloads in about a month. That’s pretty good if you ask me, especially since iOS got Angry Birds Space before Android did. Let us know in the comments below what you think of The Croods, and if you’ll be playing it.
